Opening / Panel Calculator

What approximate panel widths, clear opening, and stacking space does this sliding configuration produce?

Generic sliding geometry

Start from the overall frame width or from a required clear opening. Overlaps and pocket allowances stay visible so the result is not hiding a manufacturer rule. ICU, breakout, bifold, and revolving layouts are not included until their geometry is defined the same way.

What the numbers mean

Moving and fixed panel widths are equal-leaf estimates. Clear opening is the walk-through width after stacked leaves and stacking allowance. Travel is the moving-leaf stroke implied by that clear opening. Manufacturer stile and interlock dimensions can change the final cut sizes.

FAQ

Can I load Stanley or Besam panel rules?
Not in this version. Verified system templates need a typed rules dataset, not guessed OEM numbers.
Are these fabrication-ready dimensions?
No. Treat them as field geometry to plan an opening, then confirm against the operator and installation clearances.
